Food & drink
An original take on what we eat, from farm to fork.
My food writing is centred around sustainability.
Going on my local milk round under the cover of darkness, experiencing a bustling fish market at the crack of dawn, or baking bread with skilled artisans, I love uncovering new plot-to-plate stories that explore our relationship with food. These stories offer a way into our culture and heritage as much as daily politics and the environment.
As an active member of The Guild of Food Writers, I’m always on the lookout for revolutions emerging across an ever-changing and vibrant food scene, and I’m proud to champion producers and chefs putting sustainability at the top of their food philosophy.
I’ve been a regular guest on BBC Radio Devon‘s foodie hour, organised Dartmouth Food Festival’s Eat Your Words programme and worked as food editor of MANOR magazine since its launch in 2015, plus I regularly contribute to many other publications with a fresh take on food and drink.

“Food is a lens for most of our lives, from global to domestic issues. You can use food as a way to tell most stories around the world.”

People & places
Often getting stuck in alongside traditional craftspeople, watersports instructors and inspirational entrepreneurs, I tell the fascinating stories about people and their connection to the landscape.
